▶ DISPATCH — DONETSK REGION, SEPT 2025
Witness to
the front line.
Ximena Borrazas documents armed conflict, migration and humanitarian crisis — from Kyiv to Beirut to the Mediterranean.
▶ BIOGRAPHY
Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1992 — now based in Barcelona. Ximena documents armed conflict, displacement and human rights violations at close range.
Her photographs sit between testimony and history: the aftermath of bombings in Beirut, the funerals and front lines of Ukraine, the crossings of the Mediterranean — work made to be remembered, not just seen.
Through a quiet yet powerful visual language, Ximena captures the human stories behind global crises, focusing on resilience, loss, and the lives shaped by conflict. Each frame becomes a record of moments that risk being forgotten, preserving the voices and experiences of those caught in the center of history.
